Advanced Acting
develops young actor's abilities
by
providing the foundation of theatrical elements such as staging,
vocal projection and clarity, movement, dance and singing.
Students learn the
skills needed to create an expressive, detailed, believable and memorable
character through the use of scene and monologue work, creating a
character’s history, inventing a character’s physicality and
understanding a character’s psyche.
Advanced Acting

students
to not only excel in MTC productions, but
also to have the training needed to find
success in other productions they may pursue.
Tom
Weaver holds a BFA degree in Musical Theater from Otterbein College,
and has been the director of MTC's Ardmore theater program since 2007.
Tom's students have benefited greatly from his patience, dedication,
and ability to impart his knowledge of theater to aspiring young
actors and actresses.
